The Esports Awards, the most prestigious night on the esports calendar, has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
As a result of the partnership, LSS will become the official charity partner for this year’s event — and collaborate with the awards show to raise $50,000 during the ceremony with digital and on-site activations.
LLS will be featured in the Esports Awards directly throughout the campaign and the main ceremony, with a variety of activations and rewards for achieving donation targets. A special guest VIP host will be involved in these incentives with challenges and donor rewards at the main awards event in Las Vegas on December 13.
LLS is the largest non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers. They fund ground-breaking research, provide personalized patient, family, and caregiver support, and drive change in public policies that affect cancer patients. The LLS and Esports Awards partnership will be centered around the #TiltCancer initiative which has been created to bring together community passions, gaming, and giving back.
“It’s great to welcome The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to the Esports Awards family. 2022 is a big year for us so it’s great to bring on board such an incredible cause to join us on our journey. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the charity with exclusive activations and donation incentives featuring some very special guests,” Michael Ashford, CEO of Esports Awards, said.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Esports Awards and welcome a new generation of supporters within the gaming space to the LLS community. Engagement with the Esports gaming community is critical to helping LLS support the approximately 1.6 million people in the US living with or in remission from a blood cancer. Funds raised through this partnership will help advance LLS’s mission to find cures and support all patients and families affected by a blood cancer diagnosis,” Coker Powell, SVP, Chief Development Officer for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, said.
This year, the Esports Awards will host three days of networking, fun, celebration, and content. The Esports Awards Open powered by the Golf + Gaming Club will kick off the celebrations on December 11, with the Esports Assemble: Vegas Edition following for two days of B2B events and content. The Esports Awards will then take center stage on December 13 for a spectacular ceremony.
