WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

The NBA 2K League Expansion Draft, which will take place Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. ET live on Twitch, will begin the roster construction forDUX Gaming’s recently announced NBA 2K League team, which will join the NBA 2K League for the 2022 season.

WHO IS DUX GAMING?

Dux Gaming is a sports organization with teams that compete in a variety of video game titles and Spanish football leagues. Expanding on the league’s global footprint, DUX Gaming is the NBA 2K League’s 24th team and will represent Mexico.

HOW WILL IT WORK?

The expansion draft will consist of two rounds with DUX Gaming selecting two players from the eligible player pool. DUX Gaming will have the option to select a third player by forfeiting their third-round draft pick in the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft. The eligible player pool is comprised of players who competed for one of the 23 NBA 2K League teams that participated in the 2021 season but who were not protected by their team.

WHAT’S NEXT?

There will be one trade window for the 2022 NBA 2K League season, beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 17 and running until midway through the 2022 campaign. Each team will be allowed to trade a total of ten trade assets during the 2022 season. Trade assets include players, 2022 draft picks and 2023 draft picks. All teams involved in a trade must trade the same number of trade assets.

For example, a team cannot trade two draft picks for one player or vice versa. Multi-team trades are allowed.
