Riot Games has announced a partnership with Spanish regional government Junta de Andalucía for 2023 VALORANT Champions.

As a result, the government’s Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports will promote the region of Andalucía during the season-ending VALORANT event. With provinces such as Málaga, Granada and Sevilla, it makes Andalucía a fantastic location for holidaymakers from all around the world.

The territory is also the home of Spanish esports organisation Giants Gaming that participates in VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA and will be competing at VALORANT Champions 2023, which takes place from August 6-26.

As the partner for VALORANT Champions, the tourism brand of Andalucía will be integrated into the English broadcast feed during the event, with the logo visible throughout the duration of the tournament.

“We’re delighted to partner with VALORANT Champions, an event which will allow us to promote the diversity and attractions of Andalucía to a young audience on an unprecedented international scale. Our new presence in esports will contribute to capturing the attention of a young, modern, and technologically active audience, using channels that generate the most interest among Generation Z, to establish an authentic connection with potential tourists in the short and medium term,” Arturo Bernal, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Regional Government of Andalusia, said.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Junta de Andalucía for VALORANT Champions, integrating their logo into the English broadcast for the biggest VALORANT event of the year. With a variety of cities, sandy beaches, villages, mountain ranges, a strong music scene and great local cuisine, Andalucía is a fantastic destination for esports fans across the continent that will be looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday following the conclusion of VALORANT Champions,” Eva Suárez, Head of Esports Partnerships EMEA at Riot Games, said.
