The 2021 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship presented by Aramco returns on the 13th and 14th October, with the best sim-racers in the world set to battle it out to earn a share of the huge $750,000 prize pot. The season starts with Event 1 which will see racing in Bahrain and China to kick off the first two rounds. To tip off the new season, we are hosting a virtual press conference with four drivers who will be taking part, including: reigning champion Jarno Opmeer, Alvaro Carreton, Sebastian Job and Cedric Thome.
Mercedes’ Jarno Opmeer made the switch from Alfa Romeo following his championship win last year which is one of 17 roster changes from the 2020 season. Alvaro Carreton placed ninth in the Pro Championship standings last season and will be looking to improve upon that result this year.
British driver Sebastian Job will be making his debut in the F1 Esports Series Pro Championship. He qualified via the DHL Time-Trial qualification route and will be suiting up for AlphaTauri this season. Cedric Thome, from Germany, will be returning to his seat with Haas this year and will be aiming to get off to a flying start in Event 1.
