Esports organisation Gen.G has entered into a partnership with Galorants, an all women’s Valorant community, to produce a series of VCT Game Changers Academy Tournaments throughout the rest of 2021.
The tournaments will be presented by Gen.G and help further the involvement of women in esports, with the first event beginning on July 30.
“When we first launched Galorants in June of 2020, we had no idea the journey that it would take us on,” Nicci Barker, the founder of Galorants and Gen.G’s talent development ambassador, said.
“Since then, we have worked with some of the biggest names in gaming, including Riot Games, to continue to develop and encourage growth within our community,” Barker added.
“Gen.G and Galorants share the same values and mission, and we’re teaming up to continue to bring powerful opportunities to both amateur and pro women,” Amanda Kane, associate director of talent and content at Gen.G, said.
