The esports media holding company and the GRID technology platform have announced an exclusive partnership within the WePlay Esports tournaments.

WePlay Esports provides exclusive in-game data to its technical partner and data provider GRID to support fair and open play.
The partnership extends to WePlay Esports’ core game disciplines — CS:GO and Dota 2 — and the title pool may be expanded, as well as the pool of future projects to work on together. The deal includes GRID core data services and integrity monitoring for the aforementioned game titles.
“We are pleased to sign a one-year partnership with GRID and to be working together on building trust and enhancing the transparency of tournaments’ competitive component. We want to see fair play — same as the audience of esports competitions,” says Valentyn Shevchenko, business development lead at WePlay Esports.
“We are at yet another massive growth moment for esports. At GRID, our goal is to partner with those who truly understand the intersection of competition and entertainment value. WePlay is the full embodiment of this ideal. GRID data solutions paired with WePlay Esports’ ability to bring in top-level play and production quality creates a powerhouse of esport fan engagement,” says Charlie Hanley-Nickolls, VP of partnerships at GRID esports. The WePlay Esports media holding company and GRID esports are both official members of the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), which fights for esports matches to be played by the rules.
