Hawks Talon Head Coach Wesley Acuff Played NBA 2K21 Online with Rapper and Trendmaker

Hawks Talon GC, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, hosted a special livestream on the team’s official Twitch channel as part of a recently announced content series called Talon Takeover. As part of the stream, Hawks Talon’s Team Manager and Head Coach Wesley Acuff was joined by rapper and Instagram star Ron Suno. Suno, a Bronx-based rapper known for high-energy drill music and entertaining online presence, has accumulated millions and millions of views for his work on various social media platforms.

“It was great to play tip off the Talon Takeover series with Ron Suno,” said Acuff. “Over the last couple of year, his challenges have become very popular, and we have even seen some of his work integrated into the game. Tonight was special for our fans, and we enjoyed sharing with them more about Ron Suno during some fun and competitive games.”

Bronx-based rapper Ron Suno is taking over New York with high-energy drill music and an entertaining online presence. Ron Suno (born Keron Foriest) began rapping at the age of 13, but it was his comedy that originally caused him to go viral: In 2017, he was responsible for the social trends #WeaveChallenge, which helped him gain over half a million Instagram followers in only a matter of months.

“It was great joining Coach Wes and Manni for tonight’s Talon Takeover,” said Ron Suno. “I enjoyed being the first guest of the series and discussing my passion for music, video games and community work.”

Earlier this year in Feb. 2020, Ron Suno released his follow-up single and music video, “Spider-Man” featuring fellow New York star Fivio Foreign. “Spider-Man”, which gained more than two million YouTube views within a month of release and has amassed up more than four million views to date. His highly anticipated remix of Pinocchio featuring Blueface was released on May 1. His original breakout came in October 2019 with the release of his song and video, “Pinocchio”, a fierce but fun drill hit that took the Bronx by storm and simultaneously inspired thousands of dance videos on TikTok.
