US-based Allied Esports, a subsidiary of Allied Esports Entertainment, Inc., has set a new company record of 1.6 million live views on its Allied Esports Odyssey. It is a tournament streamed on Twitch channel as part of the official Riot Games VALORANT Ignition Series event. August 16 was the final day of the tournament.
An average of 447,000 unique viewers watched the tournament each day. The company’s social media platforms too registered triple digit growth, with 33,448 new Twitch followers (688% increase) and 3,800 new Twitter followers (140% increase) arriving during the period.
“Allied Esports Odyssey was a massive success that showcased our ability to organize a Tier 1 event that was highly unique in its design and extremely competitive and appealing to millions of viewers all over the world,” said Jud Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports. “I couldn’t be prouder of how our teams across two continents executed this tournament and I look forward to our next opportunity to showcase our outstanding creativity and talent. Six  VALORANT teams take part in in the tournament: G2, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas  and Vodafone Giants (the invited teams), and FunPlus Phoenix and BBL Esports (the qualifiers). G2 met FunPlus Phoenix in the Grand Final. G2 won the final to lift the Allied Esports Odyssey crown.
