Esports betting site Luckbox.com has added five new languages to the platform as the company targets continued global growth in the second half of 2020.

As well as English, fans can choose to enjoy in German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese or Simplified Chinese.

Luckbox is a bespoke platform built from the ground up by the company’s in-house developers who worked with translation partners All-In Global to add the new language options.

Luckbox’s Director of Product, Karl Bray said: “We built the entire Luckbox project around the philosophy ‘Esports Betting Done Right’, so – as we welcome new players from all over the world – it seems only right they should join a community that speaks their language.

“The appeal of esports is truly global and we know that esports fans respond to brands that share their values. We’re excited that this update gives us the opportunity to communicate new features and share our passion for competitive gaming directly with our players.”

The new feature comes during a period of rapid progress for Luckbox, which added four new games to its offering last month, with FIFA, NBA2K, Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege now available.

The company is currently preparing for a public listing on the TSX Venture Exchange after a hugely successful first half of the year, recording a 500% increase in betting volume since March. Turnover has risen to almost 13 times that seen in November 2019, while deposits are up 10-fold since then.

Luckbox last week concluded a financing round that attracted more than $3.8m CAD from investors, with a second tranche due to close this week.
