At this year’s gamescom in Cologne, German smartphone brand Honor announced their partnership with FC Schalke 04 Esports – the competitive gaming division of the football club. This is initially a two-year deal.
Tim Reichert, Chief Gaming Officer of FC Schalke 04 Esports said about the new partnership:
“We are pleased to introduce Honor as official partner of FC Schalke 04 Esports. Honor is a young brand that stands for technological innovation. Like no other company, they are in contact with their supporters – a bond with the fans, as we live on Schalke.”
FC Schalke 04 Esports competes in League of Legends, FIFA, and PES. The organisation is also sponsored by AOK NorthWest, CORSAIR, effect, Deutsche Glasfaser (German glass fiber), and KONAMI.
In the EU LCS, FC Schalke 04 is currently in the semifinals of the Summer Split playoffs. They will play Team Vitality on Aug. 31 for a place in the final.
