Parimatch, the global technology and betting company, today announced the launch of a two-year global partnership with Fnatic, a leading esports organization that has won more than 200 championships across 30 different games in the past decade.
“This partnership with Fnatic is another example of Parimatch strengthening ties with the international esports community, but it is the first time we can call ourselves partners of a truly global and legendary brand with more than 15 years of history,” says Stepan Shulga, Head of Esports at Parimatch. “This year has been hugely challenging for the world of sport, and at Parimatch we have focused on seizing opportunities whilst maintaining our strategy of promoting esports and sports as two champions of the entertainment industry, with audiences that have similar passions and interests. We look forward to collaborating closely with Fnatic to reach millions of esports fans around the world, so watch this space, as we’ve got some exciting plans in store – #alwaysfnatic.”
Parimatch will become the official betting partner of Fnatic’s CS:GO team, joining the ranks of some of the world’s most famous brands that have collaborated with Fnatic. Through this partnership, Parimatch branding will appear on the official Fnatic CS:GO team uniforms, and be displayed throughout events where the team is playing.
Established in 2004, Fnatic has evolved beyond its team origins into an entertainment channel that amplifies gamers and creators. The company connects with the millennial audience through its partnerships with forward-thinking brands and by providing content, experiences and activations. Together, Fnatic and Parimatch will collaborate to create unique content for social media and YouTube, reaching a combined audience of over 15 million esports fans across the world.
Parimatch also partners with esports content creators and video game providers such as Dota2, and has teamed up with ESforce Holding to host three seasons of Dota2 Parimatch League. The tournament, which has had a prize pool of $300,000, has provided the opportunity for young players to build their profile, reinforcing Parimatch’s commitment to developing the esports community. Today, the Fnatic team is due to play against Faze in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
“At Fnatic, we view sports betting as an impactful way to enhance the overall esports experience, when undertaken in a responsible manner,” said Sam Mathews, Founder and CEO at Fnatic. “We are proud to partner with a forward-thinking, technologically innovative, global brand like Parimatch and look forward to collaborating with them to enhance the visibility of esports around the world.”
