Australian startup company, GGWP Academy, is going to launch an esports education platform in June 2019.
GGWP founder Jacqueline Garrett was the chief mover behind the plan. The idea stuck her when she tried, in vain, to offer better esports training to her gaming champion son. Garrett quickly discovered that there really is no easy way to teach someone how to be an influencer or prepare for life as an esports star. That’s when GGWP was born.
Garrett and the team at GGWP Academy believe that a more professional and structured approach to education within the esports and gaming community will lead to better opportunities and further growth in the industry.
GGWP Academy promises to offer free education to develop the influencer market further, facilitate partnerships between brands and gamers, and software to help identify the best players to promote particular brands.
Garrett believes GGWP can make a difference internationally. “Right now, we’re very much focused on providing the best value and learning experience possible for our users while also raising seed capital so we can bring this product to as many gamers possible, globally,” Garrett said. “We’re very excited to be the first to market in this space and to announce the partnerships we’re currently locking down.”
