Today, Level Infinite and Esports World Cup Foundation revealed that Honor of Kings, the world’s most played mobile MOBA title, will join the upcoming Esports World Cup this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The first-of-its-kind competition will bring together the world’s leading esports titles and their players for a thrilling eight-week festival that will celebrate the competitive excellence of esports athletes from around the world.
The Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason will see 12 teams from around the world compete for a prize pool of $3M USD and a chance to earn a place in the Honor of Kings Invitational Championship later this year. The Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason will kick off in August. The first invited team to be revealed is China’s incredible KPL Dream Team, an all-star roster from the King Pro League – China’s ultimate Honor of Kings League tournament. More teams will be unveiled soon, alongside opportunities for new players to showcase their talents. To celebrate the event, Esports World Cup and Honor of Kings will collaborate to launch an exclusive in-game skin available for fans.

Today’s announcement follows Tencent’s recent Honor of Kings esports announcement that included the reveal of the Global Invitational Series, the new Honor of Kings esports circuit, and the company’s $15M USD commitment to the growth of Honor of Kings esports ecosystem. The Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 will feature 12 teams competing for a $300K prize pool and compete for a slot to advance to Season 2.
Top teams from Season 2 will advance to the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason in the Esports World Cup.
The winner of the Invitational Midseason will progress to the pinnacle event – the Invitational Championship, to crown the first Honor of Kings Invitational year-end world champion.
On February 21, Honor of Kings will also launch in a number of new regions, including the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, Eastern Europe, and South Asia, with more than one million eager players participating in the game’s pre-registration program.
